Every color here answers one question: what is this thing’s relationship to being real? Ultramarine acts. Leaf runs. Marigold is mid-flight. Berry means something broke. One hue, one job, always, and full-strength color only ever marks a word or fills a control, never a whole surface. That’s the actual mechanism behind “colorful without looking like a mess.” Not a lighter palette. A stricter rule.
